Are Waldorf schools religious?

Waldorf schools are neither sectarian nor denominational. They want to educate all children, regardless of their cultural or religious background. The pedagogical method is complete and as part of this task, it seeks to achieve the recognition and understanding of all cultures and religions of the world. Waldorf schools are not part of any church. Nor do they embrace the idea of a particular doctrine, but they are based on the belief that there is a spiritual dimension to the human being and to everything that has life. Waldorf school families come from a broad spectrum of religious traditions and interests.
